Vinyl Flooring Production: From Raw Material to Finished Product

The production of vinyl flooring, including LVT tiles, is a highly complex and detailed process that involves several stages of manufacturing. Initially, PVC resin is mixed with stabilizers, plasticizers, and other additives to create a flexible and durable material. This material is then processed using various techniques such as extrusion and calendaring to form thin sheets or planks of vinyl.

Once the vinyl sheets are formed, they are printed with realistic patterns using advanced printing technology. These patterns can mimic the look of hardwood, stone, or even textiles. After printing, the vinyl is coated with a wear layer, which protects the surface from scratches and stains.

For self-adhesive LVT flooring, the final step is the application of a strong adhesive backing that makes installation quick and easy. This adhesive layer is designed to bond securely to the subfloor without the need for additional glue or nails.

The entire process is carried out in a vinyl flooring production plant, where quality control measures ensure that every tile meets the highest standards for performance and durability.
